The whole setting is an unnamed industrial city somewhere in the U.S., which would be Pennsylvania, Michigan and upstate New York (actually, Vin?? Was from?? Allowed near Barcelona), but it does not matter where the story. Disposes?? Anas atmosphere that makes. And Christian Bale Secured? Trying to intense activity, so you have to know the cause of his past. Where on earth came from? We know that working in a factory in fat, but why is skin-to-bone? Why not lay a year? Brad Anderson creates an atmosphere for broody and sleazy, it's like the netherworld, urban nightmare.
